Letter from the Editor (Jen)
So, last week, some fellow members of Young Dems of Hall County came with me to UGA's YD meeting in Athens, where Jane Kidd was the guest speaker. The meeting went really well, and 2 things stuck with me afterwards.
- How important it is to exercise our voice, getting out there to make a difference.
- There is strength in numbers.
I encourage you, when at all possible, to attend or take part in meetings/events of fellow YDs. We have a challenging year ahead and a lot of work cut out for us. But, when done in partnerships, strength and efficiency are on your side. I know our chapter is looking forward to helping out and working with the as many YDs in our region and state as possible.
That being said, Young Dems of Hall County are hosting theYDG Winter Retreat THIS SATURDAY! This is a great opportunity to get to know YDs statewide, and learn about your local chapters and what they get involved in. So make sure to keep on reading this newsletter for the specific details.
For more information on how to get involved, contact your local YDG chapters. If you don't have one yet or would like to start one, let us know! We'll help you out! Send me an email at jdr.ydg@gmail.com
Also, don't forget that Jane Bradshaw, YDG President, and Katie Milway, YDG Executive Vice President, are available to speak to your chapter! Learn more about YDG, YDA, the Democratic Party, how a bill becomes a law, how to organize a successful event, or what’s going on in Georgia politics. Contact Jane at president@georgiayds.org and Katie at evp@georgiayds.org.
